Apex High School is proud to announce our 2008 Volleyball Camp dates---July 29^th-31^st.

To help maximize the instruction for each individual player, Apex High School has decided to hold two separate camps.  Each camp will be limited to the first 30 players, allowing the most instruction possible for each athlete. 

Camp I:  8^th-9^th graders: 12-2pm   (Contact Coach O'Connell nicoleoconnell@yahoo.com )
This camp is designed for a player who wants to tune up their fundamental skills before tryouts.  Players will not only go through the step-by-step progressions of each skill, but also experience intense drills that incorporate each skill.  Players will have the opportunity to improve on their skills by skill-specific drills and game like situations.  (Any rising 8th grader has the opportunity to choose between Camp I or Camp II.  Campers will be divided into groups by skill level in both camps, so the instruction will be suited for all skill levels.)

Camp II:  5^th-8^th graders: 3-5pm   (4 spots left in this camp)
This camp is designed to introduce and review to middle school players the fundamentals skills of volleyball.  Players will learn the step-by-step progressions of each skill and experience skill-specific drills.  Skills include; passing, setting, hitting, and serving.  The goal of this camp is to introduce and review to each player the rules and fundamental skills of volleyball to prepare them for competing at the middle school level.

Our AHS Camp will give you an opportunity to meet new friends, including the 2007 APEX HIGH SCHOOL PLAYERS who will be assisting and demonstrating at both camps.  The cost of the camp is $40.  Our camp is open to any rising 5th-9th grader, regardless of what school you will be attending in the fall. Our goal for this three day camp is to help ease the stress of tryouts by giving each player the opportunity to see and learn the skills that are expected during the tryout process.  We look forward to seeing you at the AHS Volleyball camp.   

           
To register for the AHS Volleyball Camp, please fill out, print and mail in the registration form below along with a $40 check payable to Apex Cougar Club. All registration forms and checks must be mailed to Coach Nikki O'Connell, Apex High School Varsity Volleyball Coach.  An email will be sent to you once your registration has been received and recorded.  Remember, both camps will be limited to the first 30 players, so if you are interested in Apex High School Volleyball, secure your spot today by mailing in your registration form.  Camps will fill up, so don't miss your opportunity.  Any questions please email
